Art program transforms failing school

School music matters. The arts matter. You will see how a school on the skids in Massachusetts became a rising star in student achievement by investing in the arts. Orchard Gardens, a school in Roxbury, Mass., had been plagued by bad test scores and violence -- but one principal’s idea to fire the security guards and hire art teachers has helped turn it around.
