Classical Music meets Hip Hop

"The point of the Black Violin is not about the violins. The violins are cool, they provided us full scholarships to college, but the true point of what we do is to get everyone in here and everyone at home to think outside the box..if we can get anyone in here to think outside the box, no matter if you are studying to be a doctor, or a lawyer or a scientist...make sure you are always taking it to the next level and do something that is completely different than what people expect and always make sure you are outworking everybody so you guys can be your own virtuoso"
Black Violin is an American hip hop duo from Florida composed of two classically-trained string instrumentalists, Kev Marcus, who plays the violin, and Will B, that plays the viola. They met in high school, went to different colleges, then became a team to create the musical group Black Violin. The duo plays a variety of music, relying heavily upon their classical music training.
