Learning by Playing

"Children do not play to learn, they learn while playing"
Promoting children's overall well-being is the overarching goal of education. In Finland, an integrated ECEC system is implemented and care and education are combined in a holistic matter (the "educare" principle). Expectations are set for the staff and the learning environment rather than the children’s educational outcomes. Playing, physical exercise, exploration and self-expression through different forms of art are considered to be ways of acting and thinking that are stimulating and beneficial to children.
The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) is an international platform for innovation in education that connects innovators, nurtures new ideas, and recognizes and supports successful initiatives that are helping revitalize education.
